Monae' Nichols, a senior at Texas Tech, won the women's long jump title with a wind-legal performance of 22-10.50 (6.97m) on her first attempt at the Big 12 Championships at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex in Lubbock, Texas. Nichols ascended to the No. 3 all-time outdoor collegiate competitor and equaled the No. 13 athlete in American history.
