Angelee Bawek, a senior at Estrella Foothills High, won the Division 3 girls javelin throw title and took third in the discus throw final at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Deer Valley High in Glendale. Bawek produced a personal-best 127-1 (38.75m) to prevail in the javelin and added another lifetime-best by throwing 122-1 (37.22m) in the discus.
