Drayden Allen, a senior at Lee Williams High, won the Division 3 boys shot put title with a lifetime-best 57-5.75 (17.52m) at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Deer Valley High in Glendale. Allen took over the state lead, improving on his previous-best effort by more than three feet, in addition to achieving the top three marks in the competition, all surpassing 55 feet.
