Arrowhead Boys Win D1 Team Title; Muskego, D.C. Everest Share Girls Crown

On the weekend that could have seen her make a return to the Wisconsin state track and field championships, Roisin Willis of Stevens Point competed in two rounds of the U.S. Olympic Trials women's 800 meters. 

Back in Wisconsin, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in LaCrosse, the Arrowhead boys won the Division 1 team title with 66 points by winning three of the four relays and getting a pole vault victory from Evan Bartelsen (15-6). 

Muskego and D.C. Everest tied for the girls team title with 46 points. 

Danni Langseth gave Everest a boost with victories in the shot put (46-9) and discus (143-3).

Muskego won all three sprint relays and placed third in the 4x800. 

Julia Moore of Arrowhead won the girls pole vault with a clearance at 12-8. 

Jaia Hopf of Wisconsin Lutheran won both the long jump (19-1) and triple jump (38-4) and her brother, Isaiah, won the boys triple jump (46-7). 

Jetta Mays from Wauwatosa East swept the girls 100 (11.86) and 200 (24.59). Likewise, Sam Blaskowski from Oshkosh West won the boys sprints with 10.83 and 22.22 seconds. He added a victory in the long jump with a state-leading 23-5.75.  

Cael Grotenhuis of Slinger won a high quality duel with West Allis Nathan Hale's Joshua Truchon in the 1,600 meters, winning in 4:08.56. Truchon ran 4:09.50 for second. 

Truchon, who won the fall cross country title, also won the 3,200 meters in 8:53.87. He previously ran 8:44.36 on May 22. 

Jackson Acker from Verona Area won the discus (183-9) and shot put (57-2.75).

Lauren Pansegrau of Middleton won the girls 3,200 in 10:21.60. 

In Division 2, sophomore Nathan Cumberbatch from Shorewood won the 400 meters in a state-leading time of 48.55 seconds. 

The Lodi and Jefferson  boys tied for the title with 40 points. Freedom won the girls championship with 59. 

Jessica Brueggeman led Royall to the Division 3 girls title with her state-leading long jump (19-8). She was also second in the triple jump and ran on two scoring relays. 

Lukas Beck helped Aquinas win the D3 boys title with victories in the 100 and 200, and an anchor leg on the second-place 4x100 relay.

Division 2 - Lodi and Jefferson boys 40 points (tied), Freedom girls 59 points - RESULTS

Division 3 - Aquinas boys 54 points, Royall girls 50 points - RESULTS
