Silan Ayyildiz, a freshman at South Carolina representing Turkey, became the first female athlete in program history to win the women's 1,500-meter title in 4:17.67 at the Southeastern Conference Championships at LSU's Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge.
