Alexandra "Sasha" Emilianov, a senior at Kansas representing Moldova, won the women's discus throw title for the third time in her career at the Big 12 Championships with a fifth-round effort of 198-5 (60.48m) at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex in Lubbock, Texas. Emilianov also finished fourth in the shot put final with a mark of 56-4.50 (17.18m).
